Livros em Seriados: Desafio Literário Rory Gilmore [Rory Gilmore Reading Challenge]

Oi pessoal!

Semana passada, falei de livros que apareceram em alguns filmes (veja o post aqui).

Hoje vim falar de livros que apareceram em uma série específica e o projeto que surgiu em decorrência disso.

Quem ai assistia Gilmore Girls, que ficou no ar entre 2000 e 2007? Confesso que não assisti à série enquanto ela passava na TV, mas resolvi assisti-la após seu término e hoje é uma das séries que mais gosto.

Para quem não assistiu, Rory Gilmore, interpretada por Alexis Bledel, é a filha de Lorelai Gilmore, Lauren Graham, que foi mãe aos 16 anos. Lorelai criou Rory praticamente sozinha em Stars Hollow, tendo fugido da casa dos pais logo após o nascimento da filha, já que nunca se deu bem com eles e recusou a imposição deles de se casar com o pai de Rory. No início da série, Lorelai enfrenta um dilema: surge a oportunidade de Rory estudar em Chilton, colégio conceituado por conseguir enviar os alunos para as faculdades americanas de maior prestígio – o sonho de Rory é ir para Harvard -, porém ela não tem o dinheiro necessário para isso. Assim sendo, ela procura seus pais depois de anos para pedir a eles um empréstimo. Eles aceitam com a condição de que Lorelai e Rory jantem com eles todas as sextas-feiras à noite.
E dessa maneira, a história se desenrola, sendo que acompanhamos o quotidiano das personagens, o crescimento de Rory, os relacionamentos das duas – amorosos, entre elas, entre elas e os pais de Lorelai -, entre outras temáticas comuns a seriados assim. São sete temporadas deliciosas de serem assistidas, tanto pelos diálogos hilários, quanto pelos conflitos e muitas cenas emocionantes.

Mas, e onde entram os livros aqui?

Rory Gilmore é inteligentíssima e aficionada por leituras. São diversos os livros que vemos a personagem ler durante as sete temporadas, além daqueles que não aparecem, mas que são citados por ela em algum momento.

Há muito tempo, eu vi no blog Faz Parte o Rory Gilmore Books Project, no qual a Ni tentará ler todos os livros que ela se interessar dentre aqueles citados em Gilmore Girls.

Pesquisando, encontrei o projeto em vários outros lugares. Há um grupo de discussão no Goodreads, o The Rory Gilmore Book Club, e o projeto em forma de desafio, no It’s Time To Read. Até onde eu entendi, a lista com os livros foi retirada originalmente desse fórum de discussão.

Vamos ver quais são eles?

Pois é. Eu teria um longo caminho pela frente se quisesse seguir o desafio. Li apenas 16 livros dessa lista, se eu não pulei algum na contagem ou na marcação.
Achei uma delícia ver tantos livros que quero ler ou que já li, a ponto de se tornar impossível comentar sobre todos – o post já está bem grandinho, não é?
Minha surpresa foi encontrar o livro The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, de Rebecca Wells, que originou o filme Divinos Segredos, estrelado por Sandra Bullock. Eu adoro o filme e jamais imaginei que ele fosse adaptado de um livro! Uma pena que ele não foi lançado no Brasil.

via no sbt quando era mais nova, e queria ser como a Rory rsrs
Só fui assistir a serie toda anos depois, e me apaixonei mais ainda!!
Eu comecei a ler jane austen pq aparecia na serie =P

Tb li pouquinhos dessa lista, olhando assim acho que uns 15. Nunca vou conseguir ler todos oO

Eu adoro Gilmore Girls! É com certeza uma das minhas séries favoritas. Eu estou com a lista de livros deve fazer meio ano já, e em um futuro (muito, mas muito distante), eu espero ler todos ou quase todos! Li 20 até agora.

Amei o post e as leituras da Rory, uau! São muitos livros realmente e talvez por isso eu me
identifique tanto com a personagem, além da amizade tão linda entre mãe e filha.
Dos livros citados já li alguns sim, dentre eles estão:

Também não sabia que “Divinos Segredos” foi um livro adaptado para o cinema, deve ser lindo, também adoro esse filme!
Gostei muito de ver a extensa lista reproduzida por aqui, pois apesar de fã da série não fazia ideia de quantos livros eram exatamente. Obrigada!
Não sei se seguiria esse desafio, pois a minha lista de livros já esta demasiadamente extensa rsrsrs
Porém, quem sabe um dia eu tente, não é?

Adorei a postagem, Mi!
Vou rapidinho (ou nem tanto verificar e contar). Voltei, ufa! 23 livros da lista (humilhante huaihaihaa) e selecionei outros 48 que estão na minha lista ou que quero ler logo.

Olha que legal, também fiz uma descoberta. Um dos livros foi resenhado por mim recentemente: A vida secreta das abelhas.

Eu vi alguns poucos episódios e gostei, tenho vontade de ver a série completa um dia desses. Mas não sabia que eram tantos livros assim. Muito legal mesmo!
Não conheço a maioria, então é bacana pesquisar e ver se tem alguma coisa que me interesse.

Eu comecei a assistir a primeira temporada, gostei muito, mas fiquei com preguiça de baixar o restante para assistir, haha!

Achei muito legal que existam tantas pessoas interessadas na listinha da Rory ao ponto de ter grupo de discussão e afins! 😀

Ok, agora pegar e ler todos esses livros é desafio pra lar de…desafiador! Demais a ideia, eu gostei, só que acho que não tenho coragem não. Alguns até já li, entretanto…

Adoro seriados cheios de referências literárias e cinematográficas! Assisti poucos episódios de Gilmore Girls, quem gostava mesmo era a minha irmã, por isso eu via um ou outro de vez em quando. Pelos poucos que vi, nem cheguei a perceber a quantidade de livros que a Rory leu e, nossa, são muitos haha Adore, adorei!
Que coisa mais linda encontrar A Sombra do Vento na lista! 😀
Também vi alguns de Stephen King aqui e ali. E Rebecca, de Daphne du Maurier, um livro SUPER excelente, um dos melhores que já li.
Fiquei curiosa em saber quantos eu li, mas, de cara, já pude ver vários que eu também quero ler.

Que delícia de série! Não costumo acompanhar, mas fiquei bem interessada nessa. Adoro o tema sobre relações familiares e essa reaproximação avós-mãe-filha/neta me deixou comovida e curiosa.
Quantos livros! Mas todos em inglês, não tenho o hábito de ler em inglês.

Eu não conhecia esta série, mas não tenho mais assistido séries, talvez quando eu voltar a assistir eu coloque esta na minha lista, parece ser uma série “normal”, mas quem sabe ela possa me surpreender.
Não sei ler em inglês e não tem como traduzir, então não tenho como saber quais eu li.

Eu assisti Gilmore Girls na época que passava na Warner e também me deliciava. Que saudade dos falatórios desenfreados da Loralai, rsrs
Muito legal o desafio. Realmente a Rory sempre aparecia com um livro (340? UAU!)
Da lista, já li Carrie, Crime e Castigo (morro de vergonha de dizer, mas detestei), O Código da Vinci, O médico e o monstro, Fahrenheit 451 (li há pouco. É ótimo), Frankenstein, O Grande Gatsby (também li há pouco e também é ótimo), Hamlet, HP, Madame Bovary (outro que não gostei. Na verdade, meu problema não foi com o livro e sim com a protagonista. Eu odiei Emma Bovary), Um estranho no ninho, Othelo (adoro), Orgulho e Preconceito, Romeu e Julieta, O Iluminado, A Sombra do vento (suspira!), O Morro dos Ventos Uivantes (AMO!). Quando comecei a listar achei que seriam poucos. Foram mais do que eu esperava.
Quase todos os livros que vc marcou eu também tenho vontade de ler, mas ainda marcaria Don Quixote, E o vento levou e Ratos e homens.
Agora vou lá ver os filmes.

Essa série acompanhou a minha infância eu à assistia na época que passava no SBT e infelizmente não terminei de assisti-la.
Lembro que em muitos episódios a Rory estava com algum livro mas em minha memória não lembro de ter tantos livros assim (se bem que faz tanto tempo que a assisti rsrsrs)
É um desafio incrível ler todos esses livros, mas é um desafio que vale à pena, porque afinal ler nunca é de mais né?

Mi, eu não acompanhei “Gilmore Girls” assiduamente, mas adorava cada episódio que tinha a oportunidade de assistir. A série foi muito legal!
A proximidade entre mãe e filha era a coisa mais meiga. E não me lembrava de que Rory lia tanto. Só amor essa lista dela.
Tô indo verificar quantos já li também hahahha

pq não quer ler O Diário de Anne Frank?? esse livro é ótimo, vc tem que ler!
então eu praticamente só li Harry Potter e O Diário de Anne Frank dessa lista (vergonhoso, eu sei) li David Copperfield mas foi uma versão adaptada. Mas tem muitos aí que eu quero ler: Orgulho e Preconceito, Madame Bovary, A Sombra do Vento, As Vantagens de Ser Invisível, etc rs
